TO NO SURPRISE, the Cowboys have spent the least amount of money this offseason ⋆ Inside The Star

It is nearly April, with a majority of the top NFL free agents off the board, Dallas has been the least-active team this offseason.

On the surface, this shouldn’t surprise you.

Yet after losing Dorance Armstrong, Tyler Biadasz, Tony Pollard, Dante Fowler Jer, Johnathan Hankins, Neville Gallimore and Tyron Smith, you’d think they would do something about it.

Dallas signed one external free agent this offseason, linebacker Eric Kendricks hours after he verbally committed to a deal with the San Francisco 49ers.

They re-signed Rico Dowdle, Trent Sieg, C.J. Goodwin and Jourdan Lewis, and that’s it.

Bobby Belt of 105.3 The Fan, the Cowboys spent just $11.13 million this offseason. Not only is that the lowest amount in the NFL, it’s a third of what the second-lowest team spent.

Does this surprise anyone, or did you actually buy into him when he said he was going all in this season?!

Don’t Be Fooled

Look, I understand this Dak Prescott contract situation is hanging over their head, but you can’t tell me that if they didn’t want to free up money, they couldn’t.

Don’t be fooled by the front office. If this team wanted to be active, they could have been, It really is not that hard to understand.

All they had to do is get a deal done with Dak Prescott and or CeeDee Lamb and can open nearly $50 Million.

This front office bothers me man.

Jerry Jones always talking about they are going to go “all-in,” this season. Yet when it comes time to do something he is nowhere to be found.

Problem I have

Why does someone who loves so much attention settle for being average?

I don’t understand it. You have the biggest brand in the world and the only thing you care about is talking on your radio show.

This team will be lucky to win 7 games next season if they don’t add any talent at all. All the contenders in NFC are going to get better while the Cowboys sit around and wait for a guy they can sign at the veteran minimum. All because they don’t care about winning.

I can’t believe I actually bought into Jerry and the family this time when he seemed so upset after they lost to the Packers in the playoffs.

Let’s Be Real

The running game with Tony Pollard last year was not good even with him rushing for 1,000 yards.

This team without him is one CeeDee lamb injury away from disaster.

I get it, a lot of teams would be this way without their best wide receiver. Yet they are 100% Lamb depended, I mean he broke every record for Dallas last year!

With Jerry Jones adding absolutely nothing on offense, you lose a guy that finished the season with 135 catches, 1,749 yards, 12 receiving touchdowns, and two rushing touchdowns, good luck.

Lamb’s 135 receptions are the fifth-most in a single season, and his 1,749 yards ranks him seventh all-time.

The Cowboys are the first team since 1970 AFL/NFL merger to win 12 or more games in three consecutive seasons and not reach the conference championship round, yet Jerry doesn’t care.

I honestly don’t even know what to expect from this team in 2024. They aren’t going to be very good.

It looks like they are going to make Prescott play on the final year of his deal. Which means, Dallas could be out a quarterback, and a head coach after this year.

I’m just a blogger who sits here and writes my thoughts just like everyone else. But I don’t understand how anyone can be satisfied with what Jerry has done over the last 25 years.

I saw that because he is the one that is satisfied, like the goal is the win titles, he hasn’t put this team in position to do so.

Every time he is asked about it, he just says he’s happy with what they’ve done the last three seasons.

At this point I wouldn’t want to be paid by them if I was Lamb or Micah Parsons. You are going to waste your career away by a dude who is okay with average.

I guess it’s time for me to look deeper into the draft pool. Because that is what Jerry Jones is leaning on like always.
